Role: Social Media Marketing Intern
Time Commitment: 20h per week
Location: Hybrid, must be able to commute to London and nearby areas for studio days and shoots once a week
Start Date: 26 May 2026
End Date: 28 August 2026, with potential extension into autumn
Responsibilities
– Assist with planning weekly content calendars for Marketing Valley and client accounts
– Research content ideas aligned with each brand’s positioning and goals
– Prepare content briefs for shoots, including shot lists, references, and concepts
– Support filming during studio days in London and other locations, including client photoshoots and events, capturing high quality social media content
– Support the development and execution of trend-led photo and video content aligned with client goals
– Assist across the full content creation process, from concept development to filming and post production, ensuring polished and high-quality outputs
– Edit short form video content using CapCut
– Write captions aligned with each brand’s tone of voice and positioning
– Schedule and publish content across client social media channels
– Support day to day social media management, contributing to audience growth, engagement, and overall account performance
– Use Canva to design on brand social media assets and supporting visuals
– Monitor social media trends and suggest content ideas based on platform performance and emerging formats
– Support general admin tasks, including managing inbound emails and ensuring timely, professional responses
Qualifications
– Must be based within an easy commute to London
– Flexible availability, including occasional evenings and weekends for shoots or events
– Demonstrated experience creating social media content, including concept development, basic scripting, and filming (photo and video)
– Strong understanding of the social media landscape, including trends, formats, and content opportunities
– Proficiency in video editing, ideally using CapCut
– Proficiency in Canva, with a good eye for clean and on brand design
– Confident using Google Workspace, including Drive, Sheets, and Docs
– Open to feedback and able to apply it effectively to improve work
– Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
– Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team
– Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
